Dexter serves as a Business Development Manager responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities and building industry relationships on behalf of the firm. Prior to Fogoil, Dexter worked at Bainbridge Capital, a buy-side advisory firm, where he worked with private equity firms, family offices, and strategic acquirers to help source bolt-on and platform investments and conduct qualitative industry research. Previously, Dexter was a financial consulting analyst at Horsemen Partners. Dexter has a BA from James Madison University. Dexter is based in New York.
Nancy leads Fogoil’s Capital’s business development efforts. She is responsible for building intermediary relationships and sourcing investment opportunities on behalf of the firm. Prior to Fogoil, Nancy worked at Axial, a tech platform for the private capital markets, where she worked with intermediaries and C-suite executives to connect them to investors in the lower middle market. Previously, Nancy was an Associate Relationship Manager with PNC Wealth Management. Nancy holds a B.A from the University of Miami. She lives in New York City and is a member of the ACG New York Family Office Committee..
Mr. Doyle joined Fogoil Group as the Head of its energy business development and international M&A activities. For the previous six years, Doyle worked at Noble Energy, first in Israel, where he was responsible for Noble’s East Med business development activities, and then in Houston, where he was responsible for on-shore business development activity. Doyle has a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology; MBA from the University of Chicago.
Franklin is a non-conventional business leader and oversees the Global Services business of Fogoil. He believes in business diversification and plays multiple technical and operational roles across the business in the US, UK, and globally. He has had experience with global operations for exploration, production,and Subsea Systems & Drilling units. Franklin is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology. He earned a Master of Science degree in Hydrocarbon Engineering from Cranfield and Heriot-Watt Universities, and a Master of Business Administration from Henley Management College. His foray into Investments and Equities started with his stint at Woodbridge Company Limited, a privately held investment company. Having roots from Tuscany, Italy, Franklin also holds a degree in Design & Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
David Spencer has led the team since inception and is in charge of Fogoil’s portfolio companies. David was with Rothschild for 22 years in both London and New York advising various clients regarding M&A and restructuring transactions. He has a BA from Oxford University where he studied Physics and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He lives with his wife and two boys in Manhattan.
Business Development Manager
James works with senior management as a trusted advisor and broker and supports the execution of organic and acquisitive growth plans. Prior to co-founding Fogoil, James held positions with Rothschild (providing corporate finance and merger and acquisition advice) and with C3i and ZS Associates (providing sales and marketing strategy and analytics advice). James has an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley. He lives in NYC.
Anissa joined Fogoil in May 2018 and serves as a Director focused on new investments, particularly with Fogoil Capital. Prior to Fogoil, Anissa worked at Evercore where she advised clients on mergers & acquisitions across a variety of industries. Anissa also has operational and technology consulting experience from her time at Deloitte Consulting. Anissa has an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Finance and Information Systems from Boston College.
